Desktop scanners have a compact footprint and are typically dedicated to a single user. Auto-feed paper handlers offer duplex (both sides) scanning speeds typically in the 10-30 pages per minute. While costing less than higher volume scanners, scan quality is excellent. Desktop scanners offer the convenience of scanning without leaving the desk. Most desktop scanners are connected to the user’s PC, but some desktop scanners also offer a network connection.
