Howard Gross Named the Edward H. Pattison Citizenship Award Winner
The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce will present the award at the 33rd Annual Van Rensselaer Award Dinner
Menands, NY. – eBizDocs, a premier electronic content solutions provider, is proud to announce the company’s CEO and Founder, Howard Gross, has been named the winner of the Van Rensselaer Edward H. Pattison Citizenship Award, also known as the Ebbie Award. Howard is being recognized for being an individual who demonstrates good citizenship and a community-centered spirit.
“Howard Gross has demonstrated his dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities time and again, in both his personal and professional life. He is a recognized expert in applying sound business practices that can change peoples’ lives, a profitable lesson for the whole community. The Rensselaer Country Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to award him with the Edward H. Pattison Citizenship Award,” said Norris Pearson, Rensselaer Chamber of Commerce President.

In 1999, he founded eBizDocs, a premier electronic content solutions provider, specializing in software solutions, paper and microfilm conversion, scanner sales and service, and process consultation. The company, which is committed to hiring people with disabilities, serves private and public organizations and is a preferred source contractor for NYS entities.
eBizDocs has received numerous honors and awards through the years. In 2019, Howard was given the “Corporate Citizen Award” by Best Buddies, for his outstanding commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities through employment. eBizDocs was also named Corporate Partner of the Year by The New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc., for its inclusive business culture that pairs workers, who have physical and mental health challenges, with the right job.

Howard will be presented with the Ebbie Award at the 33rd Annual Van Rensselaer Awards Dinner on September 23, 2023. Other award winners include Questar III BOCES, a public education organization that will receive the Van Rensselaer Corporate Award, and Alexis Diner, winning the Van Rensselaer Small Business Award.
