May 2020 EDITION

NYS on PAUSE Extended

All non-essential workers must stay home through May 15th.

eBizDocs continues to follow the Stay-at-Home order

I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and coping with the challenges this pandemic is throwing at us. I’m pleased to report the eBizDocs team is safe and healthy. For everyone’s protection, we transitioned to remote operations for support and management functions and followed recommended guidelines by suspending inhouse document conversion. I’m so proud of the eBizDocs team for its agility and a positive attitude. We are truly blessed and I’m abundantly thankful for how our employees make this company such a special place.

While our disaster preparedness plan helped address core business functions, it fell short on identifying the emotional impact. As we go thought this event, I’ve learned it’s equally important we all share our feelings and find the bright spots in every day. We must keep looking for the rainbows.

eBizDocs has been here for 20 years and we are in a great position to continue supporting your needs far into the future. If you have any specific questions or concerns, I invite you to call me or anyone on our team.

Thank you to all our customers, vendors, and employees. You are the foundation to our continued success, and we look forward to sharing brighter days soon.

Sincerely,
Howard Gross
eBizDocs, CEO

COVID-19 and the Importance of the
Digital Workplace

Curated by James True – eBizDocs
By: Jesse Wilkins on March 31st, 2020 AIIM BLOG

Organizations are thinking about whether it makes sense to have employees come into the office and run the risk of getting infected or already being infected and, in turn, infecting others. Maybe it’s time for organizations to more fully explore the idea of a digital workplace.

The Digital Workplace is More Than Technology

Many digital workplace initiatives start with technology. But as Sam Marshall notes in a recent blog post, a successful digital workplace requires much more than technology; in fact, much of what makes one successful needs to happen before the technology is put into place.
Planning for a digital workplace needs to start with an understanding of how the organization works today.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Howard Gross
President and CEO

This is a special Employee Spotlight to thank our leader, Howard Gross. Over 20 years ago, Howard set out on a mission to deliver customer value by eliminating clutter, bringing organization, and automating the flow of unstructured information.

Howard’s guiding principles are to empower and provide an environment where enthusiastic team members can reach the peak of their ability and achieve strong personal and customer satisfaction. These principles were in place day one and easily stood the test of time.

COVID-19 proved to be a game changer for eBizDocs, presenting numerous new and unique challenges. Before the state ordered shutdown, Howard acted immediately when there was word of potential exposure to an employee. Sending everyone home (with pay) and implementing new sanitation guidelines were his top priority. It was clear Howard put employee safety first and his actions demonstrated it was at the top of his list, way ahead of all other business concerns. Howard’s heart is in believing when you take care of the people, the rest will fall into place.

We temporarily closed our doors on the document conversion portion of the business, Howard remained in steady communications with his team. Providing guidance, comforting support, company updates, and assurance there is light at the end of the tunnel. Was Howard concerned, or even scared? Absolutely, but there is no way he was going to let a virus teardown eBizDocs.

Although we are still in the mist of uncertainty, Howard will lead us through the coming weeks and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction once the return to work order is given. Howard takes care of people (customers, vendors, and employees). As a result, we are supporting him and, with the lifting of restrictions, eager to move forward.

Thank you Howard for all you do.
