Jason discovered eBizDocs in 2019 at an open house. The event was hosted by eBizDocs with the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region (ASGCR). This was a new relationship between eBizDocs and ASGCR and both were looking forward to having a successful event. Gig Works championed event promotion by channeling information on social media. Gig Works is a groundbreaking ASGCR initiative that matches adults on the autism spectrum with jobs suited with their abilities. The event was a huge success and included a guided tour of the eBizDocs facility. Attendees also learned about eBizDocs’ mission and the type of work it performs. Jason sensed a good vibe and was intrigued by Howard Gross’ discussion on the importance of eBizDocs’ workforce to the community and meeting customer needs. Jason was inspired and applied for a Data Entry position.
Jason brought a strong work ethic to eBizDocs, having worked 15 years at his previous employer. He was pleased to be finally earning a salary more commensurate with his skill level. The eBizDocs’ benefit package also offered Jason additional employee incentives.
Jason joined eBizDocs in January 2020. eBizDocs worked closely with Jason and ASGCR/Gig Works to facilitate a smooth transition into his new opportunity. “eBizDocs takes the time to train their employees to do their job well,” said Jason. “I especially like when management cross trains employees. It’s exciting learning NEW things, which keeps me stimulated and engaged!” Cross training keeps different projects moving forward while other projects are temporally on hold. Jason’s favorite aspect of working at eBizDocs is his co-workers. “Co-workers make a huge difference, everyone supports each other, and I look forward to starting my day. My routine of swiping in and turning on my computer may be the same, but I am psyched about interacting with co-workers and knowing we are creating the best product for our customers.”
Whether working on NYS Department of Health projects or being cross trained on NYS Education Department projects, Jason believes an employee could not ask for more. He finds comfort knowing eBizDocs invests in its workforce, is sincere in wanting everyone to feel safe, and offers unlimited opportunity to anyone willing to reach.
