The Challenge

NYS Buffalo Surrogates Court had over 1100 rolls of aging microfilm. The equipment used to read the microfilm was aging as well, making them expensive to maintain and all but impossible to replace when they broke down beyond repair.

The Solution

E-BizDocs converted the 1100 rolls of microfilm into less than 300 GB of data, which was then loaded into the court system’s electronic repository. An intuitive, Google-like window is now used to enter case numbers and instantly display information–no more hand loading rolls onto readers.
