What’s unique about the action of Bates stamping as opposed to simple organization and structuring, is that within each box (or set of boxes) the numbering system ensures a unique number for every document, and it is digitally signed right onto the image. The source image is reduced by 4% dynamically, leaving a gutter in which to place the Bates number so that the information on the document is not obstructed.
