Regional Trade Associations
NYHIMA
Since 1935, NYHIMA has been dedicated to promoting the professional excellence of its members through education, advocacy, and alliances, thereby ensuring quality health information to benefit the public, the health consumer, providers, and other users of clinical data. NYHIMA is a non-profit organization whose membership consists of Health Information Management professionals employed in hospitals and other health care settings throughout New York State. Our members possess training in the principles of health information management and are certified and/or registered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
NYSRA
The New York State Rehabilitation Association is a statewide organization representing over 130 rehabilitation providers, that advocates on behalf of people with differing disabilities and the agencies who serve them. NYSRA is governed by a twenty-three member Board of Directors, which meets quarterly. Our community providers offer the full spectrum of services to consumers throughout New York State, including individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness, deaf and hearing impaired and vision problems, in addition to addiction and traumatic brain injuries. Collectively, NYSRA’s member agencies are instrumental in assisting consumers toward full integration into the community. NYSRA’s providers also have a rich history in promoting employment opportunities for individuals that range from work centers to one-stops.
AXA
The Albany Executives Association (AXA) is the premiere business and professional networking organization in the Capital District that offers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly, referrals. Our organization is structured as one person per profession, working together to build their businesses through word-of-mouth marketing.
ESSAE
ESSAE comprises over 570 association and supplier members, and represents executives employed by trade, business and professional associations. ESSAE provides its members a means to exchange ideas and encourages high professional standards through educational forums, publications, industry resources and networking luncheons.

AIIM
For over 60 years, AIIM has been the leading non-profit organization focused on helping users to understand the challenges associated with managing documents, content, records, and business processes. AIIM was founded in 1943 as the National Microfilm Association and later became the Association for Information and Image Management. AIIM is also known as the enterprise content management (ECM) association.
ARMA
ARMA International is a not-for-profit professional association and the authority on managing records and information—paper and electronic.
TAWPI
TAWPI is a membership community made up of practitioners involved in enterprise payment processing and document management within their organizations from healthcare, insurance, government, banking, financial services, and other industries. Through best practices, events, educational resources and virtual programs, TAWPI facilitates the peer to peer exchange of actionable information and innovative strategies for ultimately creating a paperless office environment.
PRISM
PRISM International (Professional Records & Information Services Management) is the not-for-profit trade association for the commercial information management industry. This industry is made up of outsourcing partners that provide their clients with physical and digital information protection, access, retention, storage and disposal.
