Get your ACT! together with CNG-SAFE

One major concern in implementing new technologies is the question of how they will interact with existing technologies, particularly the set of programs and applications that your company already utilizes and depends on. When something works, you don’t want to have to switch around, migrate data, or abandon investments that have taken months, maybe even years, to develop.

ACT! and CNG-SAFE
CNG-SAFE integrates easily with ACT! as well as many other popular programs.
I want to talk about CNG-SAFE and how it relates to your current ACT! solution. Being the indispensable part of your client contact that it is, a solution that doesn’t utilize it would be no solution at all. ACT! supports some level of document management. You can store templates of emails or form letters, and even attach emails or documents to a contact record. But it falls short of CNG-SAFE in dedicated document management because that’s what CNG-SAFE does. CNG-SAFE has extensive abilities when it comes to file management:
- Repositories, folders, and files can all be set to particular user access permissions
- Files can be tracked by version, so every time it is edited, an explanation is required and there is the ability to roll it back
- Integration with many popular office applications
- Advanced routing features allow you to send files to other users for specific action
- Native viewers let you look at your documents in the programs that created them
- Files are organized much like they would be physically
And those are just a few.
So how does this fit into ACT! by Sage? With the CNG-SAFE plug-in built for it. Cabinet NG’s CNG-SAFE Plug-in for ACT! provides a seamless connection that merges ACT! contact field data into CNG-SAFE. ACT! fields are automatically sent to Cabinet NG to populate folder data, which creates a flawless flow of information between two of your most significant software applications. Users can view documents filed in CNG-SAFE directly from within ACT! or launch the CNG-SAFE application for additional document management functionality.
